We all get too much email! However, you might be missing something you really want to know.

About Signal Not Noise emails

I want to let you know about the three types of emails you get from SNN Club — particularly the messages with details about online and in-person events you have signed up to.

I also want to say that we don't pass your email address to third parties for their own marketing purposes, and we only send information about SNN Club activities or things we genuinely believe are of interest to our community. We don't send you dozens of emails a week.

Finally, I want to make sure you know how to stop receiving emails if you truly don't want them.

1. Marketing emails

These are typically emails promoting upcoming SNN conferences and online sessions. We don't send many — on average, a few a month at most — and only about things we think are genuinely relevant to you.

However, there's an important quirk you should know about. When you register for an in-person SNN Conference or online session, our platform (Kajabi) treats all event-related emails as marketing — including your booking confirmation, event information pack, joining links, and reminder emails. Because of this, every one of those emails will carry an Unsubscribe link at the bottom.

If you click Unsubscribe, you will stop receiving updates about events you have already paid for and registered to attend. We have no way to separate promotional emails from event communications — Kajabi does not allow it.

If you no longer want to hear about future SNN events, we'd suggest emailing us at letstalk@signal-not-noise.com and asking us to remove you from promotional emails only. We can note that manually and be mindful of what we send you. We can't guarantee Kajabi will honour it perfectly, but it's a better option than unsubscribing and potentially missing something you've paid for.

If you have already unsubscribed and are missing event information, contact us directly and we'll get you what you need.

2. SNN Club Library Content Updates

When you sign up for something presented by SNN, you receive access to the Free Member Library. If you choose a Full Membership, you get access to the extended library.

A couple of times a month, we send an update about new content added to the SNN Club libraries.

These emails do not include an Unsubscribe link. Here's why: our platform (Kajabi) treats SNN Club members — including free members — as customers of our service. Because of this, it classifies library update emails as account or service notifications rather than marketing emails, and does not include an unsubscribe link. Under Australian law (the Spam Act 2003), this is permitted for communications sent to existing customers of a service.

We understand this can be confusing and we're not able to change how Kajabi handles it.

To stop receiving library update emails, you have two options:

• Reply directly to the email asking to be removed — you don't need to log in to your account. We'll take care of it manually.
• Log in to your SNN Club account and adjust your notification preferences in Settings.

3. Calendar invites

We send a calendar invitation for online sessions a few days before they take place. This is in response to members asking for a way to get SNN sessions into their calendars.

If a session isn't for you, you can simply ignore it or click Decline. If you'd prefer not to receive calendar invitations at all, drop us an email and we'll remove you from that list.
